In case you don’t know, WE ARE OFFICIALLY IN MY BIRTHDAY MONTH!!!!!

That means I can start acting like a prima donna and expect to be showered in gifts without being called a delusional princess psycho. Not that anyone calls me that throughout the rest of the year or anything. Just to clarify. 😉

What I Wore: Mellow Yellow

Although I live in one of the most humid and sticky places in the US, I have a hard time rocking shorts. I’m just not a huge fan, but find them a necessity to my wardrobe due to our weather. To make them a little more desirable, I decided to stock up on fun summer colors. I was lucky to find a killer sale at the Gap outlet a couple of weeks ago on just that, and these were one of my take aways! Aren’t they a fun and sunshine-y shade of yellow?

What I Wore: Stripes! Color!

I love me some color, and I love me some affordable clothes. So needless to say, I had to buy something with my discount for joining the Sheinside site. I loved one dress in particular that was being advertised by what I imagine to be a fashion blogger. It was a cute and colorful striped dress that just screamed summer to me, so naturally I had to have it. I should have known it would fit me like more of a tunic top than a shirt dress – blame these Cuban hips. However, despite the too-short-ness (love making up words), it’s still absolutely adorable. I think I like wearing such bright colors because it is nearly impossible to be in or stay in a bad mood when you are wearing something so vibrant and fun. It’s like wearing happy, and who doesn’t want that?

Oh the color! Oh the sassy! I love everything about this fun fringed necklace from Etsy seller, BooandBooFactory! With all these serious pops of color being seen over and over again in fashion, I think this would be a novel way to rock the trend. Pair it with a LBD or with a slouchy neutral top for that extra pow!

{Giveaway}: So Effing Cute

Something I don’t share nearly enough on this blog is my level of geek. It’s pretty high. Especially when it comes to my fandoms, one of which is all things Harry Potter. This is why I nearly passed out & died when I stumbled on So Effing Cute‘s Etsy shop while browsing for bachelorette gifts. Debbie’s items stretch from sweaters to panties dedicated to the world of nerd (Potter, LOTR, The Hunger Games & Star Wars just to name a few), but her deathly hallows crop tee really got me good. I had to have it!

I especially loved that I was able to pair the crop with my temporary dark mark tattoo (also from Etsy)! You wish you were as dorky as I am, admit it!
