What I Wore: My Little Luna

DSCF2860

I know, I know. You may be bored of this look, but it’s just so perfect and comfortable now that my expanding waistline gets in the way of most outfits. I’ve realized I totally hate pants this pregnancy, so if you have any good looking and comfy maternity pants to recommend, that would be great. Until then, I’ll be rocking leggings, shorts and dresses come November. Just kidding, I’ll bring you something different next week, I promise!

Seriously though, this look lets me inject a little personality into my weekend outfits, which I gladly welcome. Basics can be so boring to me. Also, when did my bump grow so much??

What I Wore: Modern Witch

_MG_8180

As most of you know, last weekend was the first Geek Girl Brunch Miami, and I clearly had to dress the part. Unfortunately, the outfit I had planned didn’t make it to my mailbox in time, so I had to improvise. Now rocking a bump, improvising isn’t that easy, but I think I made it work. For all those preggo ladies, or just those that are curious on how they can make outfits work when they are preggo one day, I swear by the maxi dress.

Not just a boring maxi dress, of course, but throwing a fandom crop (or tank) over it. You will probably see this in some way, shape or form over the span of my pregnancy, so I’m sorry for that. I grabbed my Gryffindor crop and pulled it on top of a comfy maxi, paired it with my favorite witch hat and bam! A modern take on Hermione on her way to brunch with her girlfriends.

My First Rocksbox

Screen Shot 2015-04-28 at 4.47.54 PM

This month was the month of subscription boxes! Earlier, I received my first Rocksbox. What’s that? For $19 a month, you get a box containing 3 pieces of beautiful designer jewelry worth up to $200! Feel free to wear it as much or as little as you want, and when you have had your fill, go ahead and send it back. As soon as you do, you get another fun box full of new sparkly goodies. Plus, if you fall in love with any of the pieces and just have to have it, there is always the option to buy! For an accessory addict like myself, it was a no brainer.

Fandom of the Month Club

It’s that wonderful time of the month again: Fandom of the Month delivery time!

As you can remember, I posted about my first delivery a little while ago on the blog. I was so excited to see that it was Doctor Who themed, and I was equally as excited to see this month’s: Harry Potter! It was like kismet with our first Geek Girl Brunch having the same theme just this past weekend (post for that coming very soon)! I mean, my nails even matched, people. It was meant to be.

What I Wore: Odd Duck Craft Fair

DSCF2494

I always seem to be out of town or busy whenever we have a local craft fair here in South Florida, so after a last minute change of plans (no MegaCon for me – boohoo), I was at least happy that I would be able to make it to The Odd Duck Craft Fair in Downtown Hollywood. Little victories, my friends.

Although I ultimately wasn’t very impressed with the size and turn out of the event overall, it was nice to get out on such a beautiful day, enjoy a delicious smoothie and pick up some fun accessories from some great vendors. Plus, there is always next month’s Indie Craft Bazaar at Revolution Live to look forward to!

With that said, it is HOT here in South Florida so this outing called for a lightweight outfit with subtle fandom references and some cute geeky specs. Looks like we have a lot of steamy weather to look forward to in the months to come! Start feeling that envy Northeast! 😉
