I’ve always identified as a chubby girl, from age nine when my friends began calling me “Thunder Thighs” to today, where I find myself relegated to the upstairs, back-corner section of Macy’s “WOMAN” section. Being a plus-sized girl isn’t easy, especially when you’re surrounded by the superficial, body-conscious masses of South Florida.
Over the past few years, I’ve overhauled my wardrobe, going from 2XL t-shirts and jeans to dresses, skirts and blouses. After earning a double-platinum super rewards edition of the Lane Bryant credit card, I still found myself craving fashion that was out of my reach. Thanks to the amazing online community of plus-size fashion bloggers, I’ve slowly been amassing a great collection of pieces from curvy-friendly online retailers.

If you are my friend on Facebook, you’ll remember that I posted a picture of this adorable print and stated that it was going to be one of my motto’s for 2010 and although silly, it is no lie that a girl’s attitude will sky rocket if she thinks she looks good.
