I am not a homebody. I love to be out doing cool stuff with cool people. I, however, do not like spending vast amounts of money when doing so. This is why I was super happy when I found out that there was going to be a tweet up at Miami Beach’s 8 oz. Burger Bar with an open bar, free appetizers and a Rock Band competition. How fun is that? I can vouch it was tons. The place was slammed, but the bartenders were really great about handing out the free drinks and the appetizers were being passed around like hot cakes. Plus, it helps that I was with great company. I hope they do more of these – totally loved the idea and the freebies! We finished the night at a friends’ house where we caught up with each other, drank and had a delicious dinner. Perfect start to the weekend!
Saturday night we celebrated our good friend, Ian’s, birthday at one of my favorite places ever: Ye Olde Falcon Pub. I love this place! It’s a British neighborhood bar with a great jukebox, an awesome selection of beers and fish and chips. Heaven, right? I think so. It was really great to spend time with our friends that we don’t get to see that often especially at such a fun place. A do over is totally necessary.
Sunday brought about the usual errands, cleaning, and vegging but we had one fun little adventure: paint swatches! We decided to head to Lowe’s to start brainstorming on wall colors for the new house. So much fun! I got a few for the pink room, the hubs’ office space and the rest of the house. Now that I remember, we totally spaced on the kitchen colors! I want a nice chartreuse in there – it just means we’re going to have to go back 😉
Also, while looking around in Urban Outfitters, the hubs found the Polaroid mirror I posted about on Friday for $9.99 on sale! Isn’t that awesome? So if you have an Urban near you, run over there and pick one up before they are all gone!
Not necessary ready for this new week (don’t the weekends get shorter and shorter?), but I hope it’s a great one for me and you!
