A Very Potter Bachelorette Details

This past weekend I hosted a bachelorette weekend for my friend Elissa and wanted to make sure it was as special as can be. What made it so fun to plan was the theme: Potter! We were going to Wizarding World in Orlando for the weekend, so I wanted to make sure there was a magical theme going through all the details. I started with little gift bags for the girls:

I got some sweet little goodie bags from Hey Yo Yo and filled them with temporary dark mark tattoos, Potter themed buttons and pencils, along with golden snitch bracelets. What I loved the most was that I found all of them on Etsy!

Then I decided to tackle a super fun, but all-consuming DIY that I, of course, found on Pinterest. Although I’m pretty sure I didn’t do it justice, it came out pretty cute and was super fun to take photos with every night! Sirius Black has nothing on us. 😉

I used kraft brown paper, scissors, cut out all the individual letters (Goudy Style font) and mod podged them on. The hubs did a great recreation of the Azkaban prison plaque, and I secured the whole thing by adding wooden sticks from Michaels to the back.

This party was entirely too much fun for a Potter geek to undertake.
When’s the next dork-tastic fiesta?

Thank you! It’s a lot of pressure – I always feel like I have to one-up each event! I can’t even imagine when I am planning our baby shower – craziness.

It WAS awesome. I had to take it off for work, which sucked. I just took off my snitch bracelet this morning b/c I didn’t want it to get damaged with the kids. I love it so much. New wrist staple! Love youuuu! xoxo
