Clinique never fails me when it comes to safe & effective beauty products. I was in love with their new CC cream (here) and I felt no different after checking out their new line of nail polishes, A Different Nail Enamel for Sensitive Skins. It’s formulated to minimize skin sensitivity (that not only includes skin, but eyes as well). Why is this important? Well, did you nail enamel can cause irritation and even contact dermatitis on the thin skin around the eye? It’s actually considered a significant allergen source for those in the dermatological community!

December 18th, 2012 | Posted in Beauty by MeliWhen I heard from my lovely friend Terri of Delightfully Darling that there was going to be a blogger Secret Santa of sorts hosted by herself and Amy of At The Pink of Perfection, I jumped at the opportunity to join! I love giving gifts even more than receiving them, so I had a great time picking out some fun and unique items for my partner, Jessica, whom you can find over at The Jessica L Blog. The idea was definitely a sweet one and I hope to participate in similar projects in the future – it’s such a fun way to get to know new (to me) bloggers.

So what was my swag?
A new cosmetics bag (desperately needed one of those); lip gloss; compact mirror & a set of glitter polishes, which I cannot wait to test drive for some fun holiday manicures! Make sure to check out Jessica’s blog for her post on the items I sent her, and big thanks again to the ladies that put this all together!
Edit; check out my fresh & sparkly mani using one of Jessica’s sparkly polishes (paired with Essie’s Mojito Madness):

1. Place cards
Although this looks like it would be extremely tedious to put together, I can’t help but love these DIY pop up place cards. I think the secret is to keep this DIY to a small party with few guests to reduce the painstaking process of using an Exacto knife to cut out all names (am I the only one that is Exacto knife challenged?). Girls brunch? Bridal shower? Date night at home? Definitely a cute added touch that will make people smile.

1. Kate Spade Pumps
I’m pretty sure Kate Spade should pay me at this point for the incessant promotion on my blog, or at least offer me some free swag, don’t you think? I can’t help that all her designs are so perfectly feminine with just the right touch of rebellion. Case in point: these gorgeous pumps. Vibrant yellow seems like it is going to be the shade of the spring, and paired with this playfully striped heel, you’ll be the life of the party. Or at least the target for jealous glances.
