Asos Goes Mod

& I like it!

Sometimes I think I was born in the wrong decade, especially when it comes to fashion. Mod is one of my favorite styles, with its bold patterns, loud colors & understated sexiness. That’s why I flipped my lid when I saw Asos‘ new line of mod-inspired pieces. I’d like one of each, please!

Lovable Friday!

1. Mischief Managed Tee

This fandom shirt is just…brilliant. It’s perfectly understated, yet reads loud and clear: the owner is definitely a Potter fan – with taste. Which is why I must have it. Unfortunately, the tiny online store, Revolution 9, was overwhelmed by all the orders for their unique and surprisingly trendy Harry Potter merchandise in preparation for the final movie and they are still trying to recover. But I can be patient. I think this one will be worth the wait. 😉

30 Day Photo Challenge {Day 1}

I’ve seen this fun meme going around my favorite blogs, and I decided to jump on board! Only I’m doing it a little differently. Rather than use our digital cameras, I will be partaking in the challenge using only iPhone photos using both Meitu & Instagram apps to manipulate the images. And this is day number one:

Hope I can inspire some of you to take the challenge as well – do it!

Happy Hump Day: Justin Theroux

Now made even more famous because of his relationship with Jennifer Aniston, Justin Theroux is everywhere lately. You cannot visit celebrity blogs without seeing a new paparazzi mugshot with Jen in tow. Not that I’m complaining. Mr. Theroux is a nice little bit of eye candy (go Jen!). But honestly, what I remember him from the most is Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle. So sue me! I love a good cheesy movie just like the rest of them. 😉

ShoeDazzle Review

I have to say I was a bit skeptical with the whole ShoeDazzle program. Cheap, good looking shoes every month? It seemed too “pie in the sky” for this shoe lover. But after a few pictures from friends of their recent purchases, I decided to take the plunge. On my birthday, I ordered my first pair, and they just came in this past weekend! They are absolutely adorable, fit great and seem to be as comfortable as 4 inch heels can afford. As far as the site itself, I do have some gripes. When building my style profile, it asks for your age range, and unfortunately I was categorized in a different age bracket (le sigh). I think this totally affected my showroom selections, which is completely silly. The rest of my profile accurately reflected my style: modern, fun and bold, but I was delivered these really plain jane shoes in my showroom. Needless to say, I was bummed, so I requested alternate selections. These were still not my cup of tea (although a little better). I’m planning on requesting yet another showroom, but the reason I’m not that upset is because the rest of the shoes available are so fantastic (like my first pair) and you have the ability to opt out each month if nothing catches your eye or it just doesn’t fit your budget at the moment – without being charged. If you are interested, get schooled on the program here.

*This review is my honest opinion and I was not financially compensated in any way by ShoeDazzle for my review. I joined the program and purchased these shoes independently and just wanted to share my experience with my readers as it seemed like a topic of interest.
