Another exception to my tall boys only rule is Hal Sparks – chock it up to his humor and involvement in one of my favorite shows of all time, Queer as Folk. Also, he has the most adorable school boy looks. Not only does Hal act, but he also performs stand up (just played a couple of shows down here in South Florida – and I missed them!) and is in a band, Zero 1, as lead singer and guitarist. Plus, I’m sure you’ve seen him participating in VH1’s I Love the 80’s (& 90’s &….). I’m an equal opportunity humper and little guys need love too, right? Right! 😉

Infatuation Photos
I’ve probably driven you all mad by now going on and on about how talented all my friends are, but I can’t help it! I am lucky enough to be surrounded by immensely creative people and any exposure I can give them brings me great joy. Cue Infatuation Photos.
My friend, Dave, is a pretty fabulous photographer in the Southern California area. Although my favorite subject of his is his girlfriend, Angela (she happens to be one of my most favorite people in the world & one of my dearest friends), he takes pretty amazing pictures of other things such as animals, landscapes, nature and vintage items.
Lucky for you he is starting to offer his prints to the public! These photos would make a great addition to any space, room or office so head over to his store and browse through the available images – you may find one that speaks to you!

Weekend Highlights!
Saturday we spent the majority of the day working on house-related activities, but we rewarded ourselves later that night by meeting with my mother-in-law and an old friend of hers from California at the infamous Burger & Beer Joint on South Beach. I had been dying to hit up this place being both a huge fan of beer and burgers, and I must say, I was not disappointed in the least. First off, I loved that they had 3 separate lounges, allowing you to get your drink on (or bar food on) while you waited, making it a lot less painful (we had an hour wait). When we sat down at our table and scoured the menu, we discovered that you were either able to choose a burger from their menu or build your own with a variety of different add-on’s. Of course, I went with the customized burger! Wow, so good. I ordered a 1/2 pound Kobe burger with their garlic mayo, tomato and a fried egg with a side of sweet potato fries. Pure awesome. Plus, I drank a couple of Dead Guy Ale’s out of their “99 bottles of beer.” Although our outings will be far and few between due to the house, I will definitely look forward to the next time we’ll be able to go back to B&B, even if it is just to hang at the bar and have a good beer. Definitely plan a visit if you live in South Florida!
Sunday consisted of more fun house errands (and I’m actually not being sarcastic) such as outdoor light fixtures and paint samples! We were able to get a few cans of the colors we liked and we tested them out on the walls on Sunday afternoon – thankfully, we loved all our colors and are ready to get our paint on! Looks like we’ll have smooth ceilings (sans popcorn) and hot painted walls by the end of this week. I’m so excited! And this also means we’ll start moving on to the bigger stuff such as the guest bathroom, kitchen sink and new front door! Our weekends are action-packed and we barely have time to breathe, but I wouldn’t have it any other way – we are having a blast turning the house into our house.
Lovable Friday!
I truly believe fake mustaches are the best party favor ever, so I absolutely loved this adorable DIY mustache tutorial on the blog, The Wedding Chicks. It says that it is for weddings, but I truly believe this would make any party that much more festive and fun. Can you imagine a few of these babies as part of the prop box for a photo booth? I think I may seriously attempt these for our epic Fourth of July party!
Happy Hump Day: Juanes
I am pretty open to all types of music, but I tend to kind of scrunch my nose and make ugly faces when I hear Latin music. Laugh all you want since I am Cuban, but it just tends to drive me a little nuts. However, that was until I discovered Juanes. I don’t know what it is about his music, but it just makes me want to jump on my feet and dance for hours. Absolutely love it…and well, he’s not too bad to look at either. I hope the next time Juanes rolls into town (which is often), I can score myself a pair of tickets as I’ve never seen him live! Blasphemy, I know.
