Spinner’s Interface

If you like live music as much as I do (and boy do I ever), you are really going to enjoy Spinner.com’s Interface. It is a collection of live performances recorded in the Spinner studio that is updated regularly with some pretty amazing artists. Unfortunately, living in Miami means that I don’t get to see a lot of indie bands play live (boo hiss), so finding a site like this is a great way for me to see if some of my favorite bands of the moment can impress me live as much as they do on the album.

Plus, they are constantly taking suggestions on who you’d like to see in their studio next through their twitter account.

Happy Hump Day: John Krasinski

John Krasinski honestly can’t be any cuter. Standing at 6’3″ and exuding complete geeky hotness, you can’t help but think that he must be your nerdly soulmate from another life. He is one of my favorite characters on The Office (Jim & Pam forever!) and starred in what I thought was one of the most underrated movies last year, Away We Go. John is currently engaged to Emily Blunt, who you may remember as Anne Hathaway’s co-star from The Devil Wears Prada. Lucky girl (& lucky boy as well, she’s a cutie)!

La Mer Watches

I really really love watches. I tend to like them really big and masculine, but every now and then, I enjoy some cute feminine styles. La Mer Collection’s of layer wrap watches that can double as cuffs or bracelets are so stylish and beautiful. Plus they are affordable, all falling under $100. There’s something very L.A.M.B.-ish about them, which is always a plus! I made sure to show the hubs their website already, just in case he is ever feeling generous. 😉

Weekend Highlights

I am not a homebody. I love to be out doing cool stuff with cool people. I, however, do not like spending vast amounts of money when doing so. This is why I was super happy when I found out that there was going to be a tweet up at Miami Beach’s 8 oz. Burger Bar with an open bar, free appetizers and a Rock Band competition. How fun is that? I can vouch it was tons. The place was slammed, but the bartenders were really great about handing out the free drinks and the appetizers were being passed around like hot cakes. Plus, it helps that I was with great company. I hope they do more of these – totally loved the idea and the freebies! We finished the night at a friends’ house where we caught up with each other, drank and had a delicious dinner. Perfect start to the weekend!

Lovable Friday!

lovablefriday1 I don’t know about the rest of you, but I really needed this Friday more so than I have in a long time! I am welcoming today with open arms!

Oddly enough, I received The Knot’s Florida Edition magazine last night. I haven’t been a bride for over 2 years so seeing it in my mailbox came as a shock. Also pretty telling as I’ve been struggling internally with my future career options (quarter life crisis?). While looking through the magazine, this gown by wonderful designer Lela Rose caught my eye. How adorable is it? Unfortunately for you brides to be, it has one hell of a price tag, but it’s definitely nice to look at!
