1. HBO's True Blood

Again, late on this bandwagon, huh? Augi and I don’t have HBO, but we heard quite a lot about this series will the first season was airing last year. Everyone told us we would love it since we are both pretty big vampire fans so we made sure to kick it up to the top of our Netflix queue when Season 1 was released on DVD last week. We are hooked! The 3rd DVD just arrived last night and we are gobbling them up! I have to say I was kind of disappointed with the pilot, but the episodes have gotten progressively better and now there is no turning back! Right now I think I am in the massive minority when I say that I favor Sam over Bill?

Weekend Highlights: Band From TV Edition!

I knew Saturday was going to be all sorts of awesome, but I have to say the night surpassed all my expectations! First, I got to meet the amazingly awesome (& hawt) blogger, Rosy, from Accidental Sexiness (follow her blog if you don’t already!). We had been following each other on Twitter for a few weeks, sharing our love for Heroes, tall men & all things British. It was such a treat to finally meet her in person and get to share such an amazing experience along with her. I have to say that she is one great partner in crime!

After beginning our night the way we promised we wouldn’t (by drinking heavily), we headed to The Shore Club. The minute we walked into the hotel, we run into Mr. Greg Grunberg. I was buzzing pretty hard off my ridiculously huge drinks, but thought quick enough to mention Yowza instantly! Before I knew it, Grunny was all over my iPhone trying to change my preferences as well as trying to fix my busted Google Maps application. I don’t really think I processed who I was talking to – he was so down to earth and amazingly sweet that it was hard to imagine that this guy is a celebrity on a hit TV show. It is always such a treat to meet talented people that are still humble and truly care about their fans.

Heroes Season Finale

So last night marked the end of season 3 for Heroes and that only meant one thing: finale party! Unfortunately, a lot of our guests couldn’t make it so it was only the hubs, myself and our good friend, Roxy, but we had a great time regardless. Roxy made these amazing Sylar cupcakes, which bled red food coloring when you bit into them – so awesome & delicious! She has definitely been our cupcake mistress. Remember those epic Cylon cupcakes for the Battlestar Galactica finale?

OK, now on to the show. If you have not yet watched or are in the UK or other countries that may be behind the US, please stop reading here! I would hate to spoil anyone’s viewing experience 🙂

As a girl that struggles putting together appropriate and chic outfits for the office, I can truly appreciate the advice given on the WorkChic blog. Unlike other working girl blogs, they cover a variety of different budgets as well as different levels of formality from casual to professional and everything in between. My difficulties stem from having to put together business casual outfits while knowing that I will be working with children. Plus, I tend to gravitate more towards the “fun clothes” while shopping. Hopefully by putting WorkChic on my list of favorite blogs, I can be inspired to be one hot office fashionista 😉 [Read more…]

A-Heroes-ing

So what if I have a preference? 😉
Last night was the premiere of Heroes Volume 4 & I loved every second of it. OK, well maybe not when the words “to be continued” appeared on the screen, but every other moment was great. I know it was basically a “set up” episode so not a lot of action really happened, but I can’t wait to see the way this volume
plays out.

There have been rumors that due to huge rating drops, Heroes may not be on the air after Volume 4 if those ratings don’t increase in the next few months so if you are a fan or even teetering on fandom – please watch! Let’s help Heroes stay on the air or I don’t know what will become of my Monday nights.

What do you guys think? Still a fan? Think the show sucks now? Think I’m a delusional fangirl? Leave me some comment love, whatever it may be!
